Ulysseus Seed Funding Programme for Joint Research and Innovation Groups
The main objective of the BEXR - Behavioural Economics in eXtended Reality Research Group is to exploit the synergies between research in the field of Human-Computer-Interaction, Virtual and eXtended reality, and research in the field of Behavioural Economics. The first mission of this research group is to combine and complement the distinct expertise of each partner in order to advance a promising new interdisciplinary research agenda: to exploit HCI technologies, specifically the use of eXtended Reality (XR), to test and validate behavioral economics models, and to advance the development of new economics models exploiting field tests conducted in XR. The second mission of the BExR Research Group is to promote the mobility of students, as well as academic staff, to support and enhance ongoing and future joint research projects. In particular, this collaboration will offer young researchers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in complementary fields by spending time at the partner institution. For example, students in the social sciences can gain exposure to technical and scientific disciplines, and vice versa.
