About us

The Perception&Interaction Lab is a research laboratory of the Department of Informatics, Bioengineering, Robotics, and Systems Engineering (DIBRIS).

Our research focuses on the study and computational modeling of human perception, applied to human-computer interaction problems in eXtended Reality.

Our goal is to go further traditional Virtual and Augmented Reality applications, addressing the perceptual and interaction issues that hamper the natural fruition of such technologies.

Developing new forms of interaction is beneficial in many application contexts, from entertainment, to education and rehabilitation.

Our lab is equipped with visualization devices, such as VR and AR head-mounted displays and stereoscopic monitors, and tracking systems, such as RGB and RGBD cameras, haptic gloves, and eye-tracking systems.

We are located in Valletta Puggia - Via Dodecaneso 35, 16146 Genova, Italy - 3rd floor
