Exergames and Serious Games for rehabilitation and clinic applications
In the context of the collaborations in projects involving bioengineers, clinicians, and rehabilitation centers, we develop exergames and serious games, based on immersive and non-immersive virtual and augmented reality.
We cope with the interaction issues of people with specific cognitive and physical disabilities, developing innovative HCI methods and VR/MR/XR environments, combining real and virtual elements to enhance interaction.
Current collaborations:
AIRETT - Associazione Italiana RETT
We actively participated in the clinical and rehabilitation activities of AIRETT, to get in touch with the real-world issues and challenges people affected by the Rett syndrome, to design effective and innovative human-computer interaction and multimedia tools for them.

Serious Games for Coding and Computational Thinking
We explore gamification techniques, the integration of game design elements into non-game contexts, Virtual Reality, and eXtended Reality as a promising strategy to enhance engagement and enjoyment in various activities, particularly in learning and training scenarios.
